Say what you want about the state of rock music in 2019, but I can't think of a music scene in which the people are as passionate about the music as this one. ⠀ Obviously, as time has shown, bands and styles have risen and fallen in memory, but it's hard to discard how strong the spirit of rock and roll has prevailed through generations. ⠀ I say this because I just met the nicest couple from overseas, and we literally spent hours talking and geeking out passionately about the music that we love. The struggles, the shifts, and the reasons that keep us going. ⠀ A lot of music gets forgotten over time, and with this platform, I try to either shine a light over the sounds that kept me going through the years, or to share the love about something you might not have heard about. ⠀ The way I usually write my rants about music really comes down to whatever is in my mind that day, and today I feel like sharing some love for The Cramps. ⠀ They formed in Sacramento, California, in 1976, and were active up until 2009, when the lead singer Lux Interior passed away. You can say that The Cramps were a punk rock band, or garage rock band, or even a psychobilly band—if you want to get really fucking technical about it. ⠀ But what made The Cramps significant, in my opinion, is the fact that they kept the true spirit of Rock And Roll alive.
