When our third baby was born, our whole lives turned upside down. Instead of the calm/peaceful feeling I was expecting I felt so much confusion, frustration, and at times, like a complete failure. My experience with motherhood completely changed and I was sinking further into PPD than I ever thought I would. She was the most beautiful baby and it was as if I couldn’t enjoy her because of how difficult life had became. I literally felt defeated. Through a lot of tears, prayer, more tears, and A LOT of trial and error, things slowly became easier but I still couldn't help but wish that I had some sort of community during those trying times. I recently discovered the @peanut app and have been so thrilled to find other moms in my own community to relate with and share tips and tricks about motherhood. @peanut is an app to find likeminded moms and in it you can meet, chat, join groups, and ask questions to a community of women who relate to your experiences. This would have been LIFE changing for me when I was going through those hard times but my hope is that it’ll bring solace to some of you who may be going through similar situations. 35 Week Bumpdate I never thought I’d see this day. Baby girl is the size of a honeydew melon, and the kicks are coming in full force!!! 11 days until we meet her beautiful face. I had a checkup today, all was perfect with her and my cerclage is still in place. We are doing my first steroid shot Monday and the second Tuesday to be on the safe side with her lungs since she is coming a bit early. Only one more appointment left before she arrives! This weekend we’ve been lucky enough to head up north for a little getaway with @stayzau . It’s been so nice to just escape the city and our usual weekend chores (snore) and spend some time together as a family. From the minute we stepped in the door this place has felt like our little home and with everything provided it meant I could pack a little lighter... well as much as possible with two kids .
