Time to get very personal.
This photo was taken at the after party of my 8 week challenge with @rawbybek and although this story doesn’t centre around my challenge experience, the start and finish of the challenge dates mark a significant segment of time for me.
At the beginning of this challenge I was at the lowest point in my life I had ever been, despite how well concealed it was kept on social media and to most people around me. The night before my body scan was the darkest things had ever been for me and I arrived to the scan not having slept the night before. I wiped my eyes getting out of the car and dragged myself into the gym knowing i just had to get in and out for the scan. Waiting in line at the machine another woman who was also a member spoke to me. It was a normal conversation, about nothing really, but one that made me feel human and seen.
I had my scan and I had lost weight since my first one and I took this as a win and was proud. This number made me feel good despite the fact that I very may well have been one of the unhealthiest people, if not the most unhealthy person in that room.
8 weeks pass consisting of perseverance and dedication to maintaining my own physical and more importantly mental health.
Going to the gym wasn’t the hard yards for me during this time, but it was that little extra support that I needed. To be greeted by name by all the trainers and to add a tally to the attendance board gave me a sense of belonging and achievement that I don’t have at many places.
Fast forward 8 weeks and I had my end of challenge scan. I am an all round healthier person today. I am proud of my progress and know I am on my way to better. If you ever need someone to talk to about anything or to just feel heard, send me a message. I’d love to pass on the kindness that the woman in the gym did for me that day. ❤️
LM Reebok range making me feel like.. my heads about to explode?
Meanwhile Sean's behind the camera saying "flex harder!" Oh man, this is all I got!
But seriously, this range is sick! I'm a huge fan of the tights
Top: Les Mills Crop Top
Tights: Les Mills Lux Tights 2.0
Get some! @reebokau @lesmillsasiapacific
Yeah look, our shirts are actually bright yellow but for OCD purposes I use the same filter on all of my photos and it turned them orange so, here we are.

Instagrammers be like “wow, such a perfect place to sit and reflect”. Nah actually it was just cracking lighting for a photo shoot and I didn’t hike up a mountain at 4:30am to not get a goddamn photo of me gazing off into the distance smiling at a far away tree.
So here’s a photo of me reflecting on , and quite literally freezing my tits off for a good photo. Welcome to Instagram ladies and gentlemen!
Resistance training!
.
Whether your goal is fat loss or muscle gain, resistance training needs to be a priority in your weekly training plan!
.
When most people say “ I want to lose weight “, it is important to distinguish that what they most likely mean is they want lose body fat. A key factor in putting us in the best position possible to be losing body fat rather then lean mass is incorporating resistance training with progressive overload along with consuming an adequate amount of protein!
.
On the other hand, when you are trying to gain muscle and eating like a boss (at a calorie surplus). Resistance training is required to stimulate the muscle growth process as when we train what is actually occurring is muscle breakdown which is required for the following muscle growth phase = gains!.
