Keep in mind, just because you do these things doesn't mean you will lose weight. They are just steps in the right direction that can aid the process. - Remember, when it comes to fat loss, creating a calorie deficit is most important. This means your body is burning more calories than you take in via food. As you look on this list, you will see that these hacks are all based around limiting total calorie intake in some way (except pizza…because pizza is delicious). - Chewing Gum: Can help curb hunger when you feel like grabbing a snack. Look for a sugar-free version. - Coffee: As long as you are drinking it black, or only adding a small amount of cream/sweetener, coffee can be a great option to curb hunger & give you a nice energy boost. - Strawberries: For reference here, a whole pound of strawberries is only 150 calories. You can eat half a pound of strawberries for 75 calories. Talk about feeling full & satisfied! - Sparkling Water: Zero calorie drinks can be a great option to hold you over between meals. Sometimes just giving yourself something different that plain water to sip on can make a big difference. - Step Goals: Setting a daily step goal can help to increase daily activity levels and burn additional calories, without actually feeling like you have to add dedicated time to your day for cardio. Go for a walk, park at the back of the parking lot, get up from your desk every 30 minutes, etc. - Pizza: Lol. Just kidding on this one. While all foods are totally fine in moderation, that's the key…they need to be included in moderation! Let me know in the comments. - Follow @adviceonfitness Post by @iqphysique96 - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We’ve all had days in which we eat over our target calories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I remember on my first ever cut, I realized I went 300 calories over my target intake. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was so disappointed, I had an all-out binge and ended up consuming another 2000 calories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When I checked what happened, I realized that I actually just input something wrong in my food tracking app. I actually would have perfectly hit my macros if I didn’t get emotional and have a feast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t go into “fuck-it-mode”. If you do in fact overeat, whether by a little or a lot, just get back on track the next day. Trying to compensate with things like cardio won’t do much. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To be honest, you could do cardio for an hour and end up burning like 400 calories if you’re lucky…which means you’d have to do like 4 more 1 hour-long sessions to finally burn all those extra calories. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ By continuing the next day as normal, you’ll be putting yourself in a deficit anyway. Consistency and sustainability over everything. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Btw, there are contexts to adjust calories after overeating. For example, if you are in contest prep for a bodybuilding show and overeat by just 100 calories, then maybe that’d be a different story. But even then it depends! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Need some help?
