My first Mother’s Day as a Mummy was spent by the sea with my boys Not too long ago, I wouldn’t have dreamt of posting this photo on Insta. I would have over-analysed, noticing my squinty eyes, the people in the background and the fact it wasn’t the angle I had pictured “in my head”. Not too long ago, if it wasn’t a perfect DSLR shot, it wasn’t going up. Now I couldn’t be happier to post this photo. Now what I see is me and my little family, living real life, enjoying our first Mothers Day together. Life is too short to obsess over perfection or strive for glossy photos. So from now on my Insta posts are going to be real, unedited and in the moment (this is the style of content that I find most engaging on Insta now, so l want to share the same). We decided to be brave and pack up the car for our first weekend away with Theo, so we drove to the coast to visit Scott’s family. This in itself is a huge milestone and achievement for us, to say a month ago I was too anxious to take him to the local Sainsbury’s. From baby steps to giant leaps!
