Here's a quick update on my pod sales: First off I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me!! I am so so so blessed to have such an amazing support system!! It feels great knowing that so many people want to help out with finding a cure for type one diabetes!! I started out with 85 pod magnets and now I'm down to just 14 which means that 71 have been sold in about a month!!! How great is that?! Thanks so much to everyone who's purchased a pod and shared my story. It honestly means the world to me. I'm planning on building up some more pods and doing a restock sometime next month. “Alexa play Another One Bites the Dust by Queen” Seriously tho, that’s the song that plays in my head when ever I thrown a needle in my orange juice container aka Sharps container. I’ll continue to fill up these containers with needles for the rest of my life or until there is a CURE • • To put this into perspective for anyone not living with T1D it only takes a couple months (if that) to fill this 1.5L container up completely with needles.

Caroline and I have approached this challenge in a few ways. At times, we have selected dresses with pockets or have used #GirlieGoGarter to be more discreet with our technologies (circa 2017). Other times, we have elected to rock our devices for the whole world to see! This week mum and I read a post about Grace an amazing 3 year old online friend who has been a little scared when changing her Dexcom. I’ve been wearing Dexcom for over two years, Libre before that and you know what I do not like site change either! When had my very first Dexcom inserted took my Diabetes Educator over an hour because I was so scared. It’s OK to be scared and nervous but I’ll tell you a secret, every time you change your Dexcom or pump site you become stronger, braver until eventually you just take a deep breath and it’s all over . . What I wanted to say to Grace and all my younger Type 1 friends is you are amazing and can do anything. Your mind is so strong because you have a super power called Type 1 Diabetes that makes you amazing. I am here with you, so are so many other members of our amazing Type 1 community. We are so lucky to watch you all grow into amazing individuals . . So proud of you! You are younger and I am sure can have your Dexcom changed quicker than me. You give me so much strength helping me realize I can do my Dexcom change too.
