Check out this Mexican Alligator Lizard (Abronia graminea)! We just got a few Alligator Lizards at @scalesandtailsofohio and I am in love. These are personally one of my favorite lizard species because they’re so striking as far as color, their dragon-like appearance, and they’re easy to care for! They also give live birth rather than laying eggs, how cool is that?! #abronia #alligatorlizard #mexicanalligatorlizard #abroniagraminea # #lizard #reptile #lizardsofinstagram #lizardlove #exoticpet #animalsofinstagram #reptilesofinstagram #petsagram #girlswithreptiles #herpetology #herps #instagood #instapet #instadaily #animallover #reptilelover #reptilekeeper
This is my female (at least I hope so) Abronia graminea.
She looks pregnant to me, maybe some of you with more experience can confirm that? .

This little baby Mixtecan Alligator Lizard (Abronia mixteca) is so precious! This species is native to Mexico and gets around a foot long (including tail) full grown. As babies they don’t have much color but as they grow they start to get their adult colors which can vary from green and black, black and white, yellow and green, and so on! #abronia #abroniamixteca #alligatorlizard #babyanimals #cutelizard #cute #lizard #reptile #lizardsofinstagram #lizardlove #exoticpet #animalsofinstagram #reptilesofinstagram #petsagram #girlswithreptiles #herpetology #herps #instagood #instapet #instadaily #animallover #reptilelover #reptilekeeper
Absolutely my favorite feeding video I’ve captured - my pair of Mixtecan arboreal alligator lizards, female “Puff” and male “Frosty” (formerly Wendy). The way these lizards move and hunt is unreal. You can see the male supporting himself with just his hind legs and prehensile tail towards the end. So so glad these two are doing well, they’re both finally associating me with food, this is the first time I’ve seen them both out at once in a long time.
