Brought the toddler to meet The very Hungry Caterpillar , as it chomps away on its journey to metamorphosis. And that is the beautiful butterfly it became! . Probably the most clever and best puppet show we have ever watched. Little boy loved it so much that he asked to go again! Show runs till 12th May at Victoria Theatre. At 3 months old, @babyjaylenetan already had her first theatre experience! We brought her to catch “Leaf” by Tam Tam Threatre, England. The show is suitable for 0-3years old! It was rather intimidating for the parents at first. We worries that she might fuss or even cry during the show? After all, she’s only 3 months old, would she be able to understand But to our surprise, this little one was an amazing audience! Throughout the 35mins show, she sat quietly in my lap! I’m pretty sure she was engaged because her eyes were following the performer! So were the other kids in the room! It was quite an eye opening for mama to see my little baby being so engrossed. ☺️ At the end of the show, the kids even get to play and explore the stage created for the show! Overall, it was a great learning experience for all of us. Definitely looking forward to bringing baby J to more shows! ACT3i Festival is currently playing from now till 3 June! Oh boy was it noisy but really, how can you keep your children silent when 12 adorable crabs suddenly appear in the last story of The Rainbow Fish’s Opposite!? . The kids in Victoria Concert Hall were counting at the top of their lungs, “ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR! Oh my goodness so cute! FIVE!” and I bet the puppeteers of @MermaidTheatre of Nova Scotia were smiling with delight from such enthusiasm. They can see us but we can’t see them. That is the magic of back light. . . The first of three tales introduces the most beautiful fish in the sea, whose scales shimmer in all the colours of the rainbow. He is admired and resented by the entire underwater world, until a clever octopus advises him to give each fish one of his scales. How can he give up his scales? They are his prized possessions! But when he genuinely did, he made friends and he felt happy to see others happy. . . This is exactly what I had been drilling into my children’s heads. Whenever we pack a luggage full of essentials for orphans in the third world countries we travel to, I always remind them, “Do not give away your unwanted books, toys or clothes to the orphans. Give them your favourite, most prized possessions and definitely not something that is spoilt.” #bigbro文 had always been receptive and I applaud his generosity.
