The support doesn't end at sessions!

Students told us they’d like to keep in touch through our Speak Up whatsapp group, where we will provide guidance and practice exercises leading up to their exam.

Feedback: how we can better address our students’ needs?
At the end of every session, we had our students fill out feedback forms to find out what parts of the program they enjoyed and didn't enjoy. We are very happy to report that all found the first term helpful!

Session 4: Pizza and group discussions
_
To celebrate four weeks of incredible progress and commitment, we brought pizza and soft drinks! It was an enjoyable and productive session—a truly wonderful way to end the project.
_
After pizza and Pictionary, we split off into smaller groups to practise group discussions. Seeing the huge jump in improvement was very rewarding, and we introduced them to different sentence structures and new vocabulary that might be helpful. All in all, it was a great session and we are so glad to have done this project and met these kids!

Session 3: Pictionary and individual speaking drills -
_
Continuing on last week’s goal of learning vocab, we did Pictionary this week with much success and a lot of fun! (Drawing the concept of education was a bit tough but we managed). We followed up Pictionary by delving into the next half of the speaking exam with some individual past papers. After some initial hesitance everyone showed a lot of improvement and learned some new note-taking skills and built confidence!

Hi everyone! We are a group of students here in Tai Wai island school currently working with Kids4Kids on their Action For A Cause Projects. For our project, we are looking at the importance of mental health and awareness. Our aim is to foster creativity within children, boost their self-confidence and raise awareness of the importance of self-expression and communication through art. We are going to hold some art classes that we have developed with the assistance of our program mentor, an artist from SCAD Hong Kong.
Our first session is held next Monday! All the details are in the poster above, sign up with the link in bio. Unfortunately, our trial is only open to island school students. However, we will be opening the sessions to everyone soon!! @island school students we hope to see many of you!!
