Sorry for the radio silence! I’ve been in the USA. I had incredible time recently presenting at the inaugural Animal Image Makers (AIM) Conference hosted by Twin Cities Professional Photographers Association in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I delivered a half day business boot camp to a class of 38 keen photographers, and had the honour of addressing the entire conference as the international guest. I made some lifelong friends and the incredibly warm welcome I received from start to finish was amazing - and a wonderful balance for the frosty weather and raging snow which fell for the first two days. I have to confess, the locals might be sick of the snow but I was transfixed, and it was so pretty! The speaker line up for AIM was next level and I formally presented my Client Acceleration Program publicity for the first time. I’ve been running the program for several months but had only been booking photographers in when they came to me organically, requesting I coach them in their businesses. The program is now booked out for 5 months! @moonpalacebooks staffer Peter attended and retailed copies of ‘Zen Dogs’ and ‘Perfect Imperfection’, which I signed and we SOLD OUT! So awesome! I hope everyone enjoys reading their purchases. I then flew to Los Angeles to deliver “From law maker to image maker” at @samys_camera in Fairfax, for @tamronusa The attendees listened intently and asked very relevant questions. They left knowing everything about the Tamron lenses I use, and what they can do with them. Such a great afternoon in an epic camera store which covers four floors. Huge thanks to @tangerinehouseofdesign and the AIM team for their months of hard work to host a seamless event. It really was exceptional and I’m so glad I was a part of it all. Meet Gandalf, a handsome 8 year old rescued Galgo, who lives the fashionable life in Minnesota. His stunning Spanish looks make him an in-demand model, recently modeling in the Animal Image Makers Conference dog fashion show. He also made his way in front of the cameras of a couple of us dog photographers, following his nose and striking a pose among the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
