Have you ever visited a museum in your hometown?⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ This is my first time visiting the Royal House of Kedah museum in Malaysia. I had to bring Dan around for the sightseeing in my hometown, Alor Star.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Why should you visit this museum?⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Because it is the oldest Royal House in Malaysia, approximately 283 years old.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ It is also the birthplace of Malaysia’s first Prime Minister who is the founding father of Malaysia. His name was Tunku Abdul Rahman, and his bedroom is still on display today at the museum.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ This museum also displays Malay traditional wedding clothing and decorations. The museum also includes kitchenware, jewelry, furniture, royal photos, and some super long guns (longer than me) Check it out!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ The good news is that this museum is FREE and many of the display descriptions are in both English and Malay.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Tips:⁣⁣⁣ Take a train from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Star for couple days then take a ferry to Langkawi island for duty free paradise!
