We don’t set out to write books. The books come to us. There’s a story in us that needs to be told, or a character who needs to be created. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mine started with an idea, a beginning & an ending. I started writing the opening scene to Collision, and I couldn’t stop. I knew exactly how I wanted it to end (cliffhanger and all ). Avoidance was a little different. I knew how I wanted it to start, but Merritt’s journey took over & I was just along for the ride. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We sound crazy when we say the characters speak to us, but it’s true. Maybe we are a little crazy, but maybe that’s okay. If you have a story in you, let it out. It doesn’t have to be perfect right away. Let it flow & work on it little by little.
