I feel absolutely fantastic coming into this weekend, and am really looking forward to the few days.
Now if only the weather will coorperate...I will take "feels like 101° over "high chance of thunderstorms" any day : @huffer.photo aka mini @dutchtarget

Recurve Technique - How To Release VS How NOT To Release
Spot the difference - let us know in the comments below! These two videos are taken many years apart after a lot of training, it’s clear that the first video shows a much better release and execution. But what are the crucial differences and why?
How many can you spot? Answers in the comments below and we’ll give our own answers on Thursday!
Recurve Tuning - The 3 Ways to Tune
Basic recurve tuning is pretty simple. We are trying to match the arrow with the bow and the specific technique of the archer.
To get your basic tune, you should get your basic set-up first (see the tuning guide on our site). Then, use ONLY these 3 variables to tune your bow:
1️⃣ Poundage.
2️⃣ Arrow Length.
3️⃣ Arrow Spine. ❌ Don’t try and tune your arrows by adjusting button tension. ❌ Don’t try and tune your arrows by adjusting the point weight.
The three variables above have the largest effect on arrow spine and tuning. Playing with other variables normally doesn’t make enough difference and is a waste of your valuable shooting time!
Will Matt Stutzman repeat as National Champion at this week? Last year the Armless Archer beat out all able bodied shooters to take the top spot!

Recurve Follow Through - Draw Elbow Direction (2/2)
These are 3 of the best ways to train the follow through direction of your elbow.
Tag a friend in the comments who would find this useful!
1️⃣ Double bow roll drill. This not only helps the bow arm, but helps the draw side too. By keeping the elbow position for longer after the shot, you can feel if you created the correct direction during you expansion and execution.
2️⃣ Arrow against elbow drill. Get a friend to push an arrow against the back of your arm, as you expand you should direct your elbow against the pressure from the arrow. This gives you a good reference of how to expand.
3️⃣ Extra poundage shooting (you can do this with a band or with heavier limbs). Doing this helps improve your ability to aggressively move through the shot and then when you go back to your normal poundage you will be able to learn smoother clicker control more quickly.
