TOP TIP: Check out Groupon for discounts. @inveraray_castle and @inverarayjail - a beautiful castle with tearoom & shop and an interactive (possibly terrifying for the kids) history lesson at the old jail. @blairdrummondsafaripark near Stirling - wildlife reserves, play parks, pedal boats and more. A train ride from Oban to Glasgow on one of @myscotrail ’s most scenic routes for a day of exploring museums. An evening in Oban on our way home. There is a catering van at the end of the pier in Oban. I’ve never eaten any of their seafood or fish and chips but I love the fresh flowers they place on the picnic tables used by their diners. I love the way the sunset catches the door of Shieling Cottage. Earlier this week, on their first day, guests (who booked to stay with us via @sawdaystravel) did the Treshnish Headland Walk and saw an Adder (a life goal of theirs!), an Otter and a pod of Dolphins.
