Spinning one of @spinningmermaid ‘s art batts is like a surprise party where every draft of fiber catches you off guard with an explosion of color and texture! The only downside is that it doesn’t last long enough ! Finally carding my last batts - it's been a stressful and hectic 8 weeks repainting the whole house, breaking down the dye studio, breaking down the fiber loft, getting Jules' room ready to move into my loft, buying all the stuff for Beatrix, working on her nursery, the transmission going out in our car, taxes that left us owing several thousand dollars instead of a refund, gestational diabetes... Ugh. I'll have 4 of these mega batts (about 6 ozs each) and 4 oilslick batts plus some project bags and hand knits.
