Alright so this is kinda a long post so if you don’t want to read you can just scroll along.... I just wanted to say live your life for you. Not for anybody or anything but for you. People will always have their opinions or think they’ve got it figured out but they’ll never know unless they’re in your shoes. Ever since I lost Yma my whole outlook on life has changed. As the cliche goes, life is too short. There are days where I’m angry, depressed, frustrated, etc. Sometimes I don’t really recognize myself or it’s hard to put on a smile but when I do I embrace it. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. We’re human. We live, we love, we learn and we grow. And dare I say how proud I am of myself. If only y’all knew the struggle. but guess what? I’m here. I’m living. I used to cry and fret because I didn’t know which career path I wanted. I was undecided for the majority of my college career before I decided and FINALLY got into nursing school (UNCG finally stopped playing with my feelings ). Just last year I was living on my own picking out my own furniture and dammit I bought my own (partially used but 2016 ) car. (Let me toot my own horn for a second. Get it? ) ANYWAY, I say all this to say that you better live your best life and BE HAPPY. (Easier said than done. I know.) Don’t welcome negativity. Embrace yourself. Learn. Grow. Prosper.
