This kid will be a year old in exactly one month, which is bizarre because I feel like he was born yesterday but that I was pregnant for 8 years. As you can see I am raising an absolute monster.

Guys! Just when I thought this week couldn’t get any cooler...I went and turned 35 today! The boys skipped school and we spent the morning at the gallery...checking out the art, finishing some set-up, and getting family photos (this eyes-closed pic is the only one we thought to snap with my phone...can’t wait to see the real ones ) Aside from the fact that doing family photos is just a little bit crazy-making , I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate 35 years; totally in my element, feeling fully present in these roles, and confident in who I am. It has been a looong road getting to this point, but I am so glad I kept pushing to find my way.

I’m halfway through my at-home artist residency and It’s been feeling SO GOOD. It’s 10:45 pm and I just finished a top for a piece I think I’ll submit to Quilts=Art=Quilts @schweinfurthartcenter and am about to have dinner . I also quilted and blocked this circle piece, made a larger cairn-inspired top, and have been working on a bunch of custom cloth book orders, which I still do to make a bit of money from time to time. Hoping to have some new work completed by Friday ✨
