MY DREAM ‍♀️ I have been working with kids with special needs in classroom settings for about a year and a half now and I’ve been lucky enough to be in a few classrooms that incorporate a tiny bit of yoga and meditation YouTube videos into their program. I know that these kids could benefit so much from a specialized sequence... they love practicing so much! But, I feel like it’s tough for them to find resources that make yoga practice accessible. I’ve been dreaming of ways to combine my passion for yoga and art to help people with special needs and chronic illnesses. I was actually looking into the San Diego training that just happened this past April, but I was unable to enroll because I had just completed my 200HR YTT and couldn’t afford to jump right into another training. This scholarship would be a huge step for me towards uniting all my passions. I would love to be able to offer classes for these special populations in my community.
