If I'm honest.. The Sound and Vision Tour (1990) is probably my least favorite Bowie Tour. I don't even know why. But I always had the feeling he was unhappy with his Status as an Artist an overall Situation(of course I don't know if this was really the case).
But besides that.. I love his appearance!

As we know, Ashes to Ashes is about laying Major Tom to rest. David explains that it's the culmination of what happened after humanity uses technology to place Major Tom there but now it is all meaningless. (A bit of nihilism) "The great technology [was] capable of putting him up there, but when he did get up there, he wasn’t quite sure why he’d been put there…We come to him 10 years later and find the whole thing has soured, because there was no reason for putting him up there…[So] the most disastrous thing I could think of is that he finds solace in some kind of heroin-type drug, actually cosmic space feeding him: an addiction." - Bowie
.
Something @bowiefreak_73 brought up was the meaning of his lyric, "The little green wheels are following me, oh no, not again." They speculate it's relation to the Dada movement of the early 1900s. The movement ridiculed meaninglessness of the modern world as retaliation to WWI. Extremities such as suicide were often encouraged even if not explicitly said as artists did just that. Many of these artists took to drugs and other debauchery (like Major Tom) before the act. It inspired pop art, punk, and surrealism (Salvador Dali, actually.) The quote may be a reference to An Anna Blume” (1919) by Kurt Schwitters, who was a Dadaist.
"1) Eve Blossom is red,/ 2) Eve Blossom has wheels/ 3) What colour are the wheels?/ Blue is the colour of your yellow hair/ Red is the whirl of your green wheels.."
.
.
I find this connection to be highly probable as David has before mentioned nihilism and hinted that he was one around the time he was indulging in the "horrors" of the modern world before overcoming his addiction. As a well read man especially educated in the arts of men and women at the forefront of changing the status quo in ways never before seen, it's likely @bowiefreak_73 was correct! After all, he became one of these revolutionary artists himself. .

Scary Monsters and Super Creeps was recorded in New York City in less than two weeks, and produced by Tony Visconti. All tracks were already in David's mind. Only the lyrics were changed at the last minute. "Fashion" was originally called "Jamaica" and "Its No Game," is derived from "Tired of my Life," which was written when David was only 16 years of age!
Now we enter and exit at the same time a new era for Bowie; the end of the 1970s, which is arguably the most creativity rich period of his life. The kick off for the 80s was one of his best albums ever. We will be examining this more of this album, if you dare★

"Bowie was beyond impressive despite a nearly two year layoff from performing following the completion of his Isolar II Tour in December 1978. Despite the fact that he was still smoking heavily, The Thin White Duke was in top form, likely thanks in part to the vocal training he was going through for his part in The Elephant Man." ~DIFFUSER~
CLIP of Bowie SHAKING HIS BUM during the performance of the single from the upcoming ALBUM (Scary Monsters and Super Creeps) ASHES TO ASHES. Notice the difference between this performance and the one in 1990, when he was older and wiser ♥️
BTW: I had to completely repost and rewrite this caption because Instragran told me it wasn't posted, ugh!
HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL
Have a nice WEDNESDAY!
