Maths rotation table ✋ I’ve had lots of lovely questions about my creepy subtraction activity so I thought I’d try and answer some of the common questions here.. - Hands are filled with sand (nothing special, just from the school sand pit) - Gloves are just tied up with a rubber band - I only made enough hands for a rotation activity, not one per child - Task cards are from @teachstarter - In Australia (Victoria) subtraction is part of the Foundation/Prep curriculum

Anyone else addicted to buying picture books? I knew I had to buy this book after the lovely Janelle from @myteachingcupboard posted about it earlier this year We will be reading and referring to ‘If you were an adjective’ a lot this term as we focus on adding adjectives to our writing ✨

Dedicated Fine Motor time is something I know is hard to fit into your timetable.. don’t worry I get it! The biggest problem I found with doing it though was that I had to organise things and that took too long so it didn’t happen... and this was when these Fine Motor Kits were born I asked parents for donations of the equipment and then set to work making them up. I would then place the activities on the tables every morning for the 15 minutes we had between doors open and start of day.. a great way for parents to see the simplicity of the activities and how they could mirror them at home. I then had the kits on a trolley and they were available for fast finishers. And then I started sending them home for extra practice for some of my littles that were really struggling Yes it will take a bit to set them up but I can honestly say some of my kits are still going strong after 8 years They don’t look quite as pretty as @keepingkindinkindy’s though, hence why I’m using her photos But seriously.. once they’re done they’re ready to go at any time https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Fine-Motor-Activity-Kits-Mega-Pack-1732859

Start saving your bottle caps friends! I love this idea to show regrouping when you’re teaching the written sum.. especially if you showed this with the hands-on of regrouping blocks or sticks!!
