PA’s are part of the job. We welcome passengers onboard and update them inflight about our arrival time and the weather. ⠀ Occasionally some PA’s are harder to make than others; when you have to inform passengers of delays or technical issues. When we are inflight, I will always make this announcement over the passenger address system, however when we are on the ground, if I’m delivering news that will affect their day considerably, then I like to make this PA face to face.⠀ I find that honesty is always the best policy and keeping them up to date is essential.⠀ I’m fortunate that I can count on one hand the times I’ve had to do this face to face.
