She’s been under our guardianship since, July, and it’s taken this long for the post placement paperwork to be reconciled per FL law. There’s never been a day that I have worried about her not being forever ours. In fact, I haven’t thought much about this day because I have loved this baby even before I knew her. But today, when the judge (via conference call) called us from Florida and said the words he did and then asked us questions .. I had such a hard time talking... very emotional for me. I have many treasured moments hidden in my heart from this amazing journey. It seemed as though the court room (the attorneys and the judge) cheered after they read us our affidavit and told us she was forever a Wilson. ••••••••••••••••••• • This baby girl ... wow. Probably the only Father’s Day gift I’ll ever receive. Lol Words can’t describe how proud I am of my best friend. Over 30 hours in labor but this little precious healthy baby boy came on Father’s Day. Such an emotional day filled with lots of prayers, hope, tears and joy. The world works in mysterious ways and I’m so happy i could somehow make it out last min. Honestly, this whole experience is changing my world. It’s amazing how the presence of one human being can come and shift your world for the better. Really made me think about my life and the effect of my presence in this world.
