You know there’s such a slim chance they’re going to fit, you’re not truly convinced they’re going to fit, but this part of you is just sitting there convincing yourself it’s a good idea and to go for it anyways. ⁣ ⁣. ⁣. After my first pregnancy it crushed me that my body didn’t just ‘bounce back’ and I couldn’t slide right back into my clothes. I was so naive to what my body had done, had gone through and still had to go through. I also went on to eat terribly, sit around my house inactive and depressed and gain a crapton of weight. ⁣ ⁣. ⁣. At the end of the day I’m comfortable in the postpartum body I’m living in. My body has gone through so much these last few years. Am I as confident as I could be when I get dressed? No. But I know that it’s a temporary state of recovery. That every day, week and month I get closer to a daily routine that leaves the girls less dependent on me and grows closer to my independence. ⁣ ⁣. . Maybe one day my butt will once again be small enough for my jeans. Maybe I’ll have this junk in the trunk forever and need a new pair. My weight doesn’t define me.
