5 month old today| After rain there’s a rainbow. After a storm there’s calm. After the night there’s morning. After an ending there’s a new beginning’. I’m so aware of her first mom and family that must be longing for her, missing her and wondering about her today. My heart feels quite sad and heavy. I’ll probably feel like this for many other future milestones and that’s OK. It reminds me to acknowledge E’s first mom and family and tell E about them. To remind her that when we celebrate her as a family, there’s another family thinking of her too. As much as she is ours, she is also theirs.
