A very tough 8 miles leaves me wondering how I am going to get 13.1 done. I got a block at about 6 miles today, definitely going to pack some salt sticks next long run! Holy moly did that sun and heat kill me. Why was I wearing jeans and long sleeves yesterday and today I’m having a heat stroke?! I should have run early in the morning but I went back to bed because I work tonight - mistake I need to switch my schedule up for the warmer temps. But anyhow, enough about the weather. Got it done this morning! Picked up my hubs car from the shop- it’s a thing now, need your car picked up from the shop, I’ll get it heading out of town for some special baby snuggles with my new niece so runnings on hold for a few. I’m glad I pushed through another long one. Plan: 4.5 miles Practice: 4.5 miles in the ☀️ Started the run with half a @bangenergy and finished it with the other half! I’m going to need it to get through until 8 am. Despite taking a tumble before even getting to mile 2, I had a great time running the Backyard Half Marathon in White Salmon on Saturday! Absolutely gorgeous course (though a bit hilly... 2500’ of climbing in just 13 miles ). And we all managed to finish before the thunderstorm rolled in. Awesome start to the summer! First off... all lighting should be this good. Secondly I wasn’t sure I had these six miles in me today!!! There was some serious doubt but once I got going there was no way I was stopping before I got it done! This is the end of week five!
