Spitting some truth this afternoon...(read on for some # realtalk)☝ . Initially when I started Bound for Beauté I felt a little defeated. I felt so called to empower and uplevel babes but my passion didn’t result in a stampede of clients coming my way. It also didn’t help that the first question most people ask is “how’s business?” Or “how many clients do you have right now?” . This year I started to challenge this mindset. As my business grew and evolved, so had this old perception. Sure, having a thriving full time business is one of my goals but it isn’t the end goal . Do you know what one of my goals is? Showing up as the best version of myself and empowering the person in front of me whether it’s with knowledge, advice, holding space or just kindness . I just spent the last 8 weeks visiting all Sephora Australia stores nationally educating on how to clean up your beauty routine ‍♀️ but so many of my conversations go beyond that. It’s about EMPOWERING and UPLEVELING the babe that’s in front of me, no matter what the topic! (There’s been a few and I like a good chit chat ) . I feel so grateful Sephora has remained apart of my life in this next chapter of growing Bound for Beauté, as I learn to be a better person every single day ✨ Throwback to when I had the pleasure of interviewing Jen Atken from Ouai for @sephoraaus ‍♀️

When you can’t pick a winner, you post them all - My clients are really understanding when it comes to me taking photos of them! They know they’re a great promotional tool for me, a snapshot of my hard work and dedication in getting their lashes looking exactly how they want (sometimes a few moderations are made during their consultation ya’ll know what I’m talking about, ain’t no one needing those 15mm lashes ). - I’m curious...... Are you confident with your photography skills? Do you feel like the photos you take do your work justice? OR is photography something you struggle with? I WANT TO KNOW! - Here are a couple of Photography Tips for those struggling: - Make sure you have good lighting - Take A LOT of photos from a few different angles - Make sure lashes are brushed!!! - Check the photos you’ve taken before you let your client leave (there’s nothing worse than spending hours doing a beautiful set and not being able to showcase it) - Tag someone who needs to take more photos of their kickass work!
