What’s your favorite color and why? — Mine is green! Don’t worry, black is a close second. There’s just something about the color green that speaks to me. Maybe it’s the nature aspect of it. Or the neutrality of the color. Maybe it’s the way it can symbolize life and growth, two things I value greatly. I don’t really know. It’s just always been green for me. — I have found myself reading less and writing more lately. Maybe this is normal for people who write but it’s new to me! Haha But it feels so good to get these words on my head down on paper and I’m enjoying the cathartic process of telling my story (not MINE but the one I’ve been mulling over in my mind for years). The amount of love and support on yesterday’s post is unreal! working from home today, which feels like a blessing with how much of a struggle this week of sickness and busy-ness has been. this stack is next to me, a great motivator to wrap things up ASAP. i’m determined to finally finish Ask Again, Yes this weekend, and want to get bits and pieces of all these others in as well. thank you to @fsgbooks for sending me Coventry, one of my most highly anticipated books of 2019. and to @scribnerbooks for Vacuum in the Dark, Ask Again, Yes & The Behavior of Love, @jennareadsbooks & @catapult for Meander, Spiral, Explode, and @thestackspod & @allisonreadsdc for inspiring me to finally commit to Stamped From the Beginning. this book is part of the reason i’m setting Middlemarch aside for right now — i can only tackle one big book at a time, and this is more important for me and my reading values. sometimes ya just gotta make a choice. ⠀ what’s in your weekend tbr stack?

April 30: I have made the executive decision to download hbo, and catch up on all seven seasons of Game of Thrones in time for the finale. RIP to my sanity. . I guess we can consider this my April wrap up. There’s not much to wrap... I read A Single Man at the beginning of the month. It was fantastic, I can’t believe I’ve never watched the film, but I’m definitely going to. And even though I was supposed to be reading Les Mis, I decided to reread Notre Dame de Paris after the heartbreak that was the cathedral fire. I guess I could count Northanger Abbey reread for the ardently austen book club, but I finished that in March QotD: Tell me you’re favorite read of April . On another note, the fabulous candles in the second picture are from @hearthandhammer I was so excited to receive them from Ariane, they’re literary inspired, and they smell SO good!! . Which authors do you own the most books by? ❧ If we're talking in terms of editions, Stephanie Garber, V.E. Schwab, and Tamora Pierce are probably at the top of my list. I recently bought the box set of the Shades of Magic trilogy off Book Outlet because 1) new editions for my shelves and I love the different colored spines, and 2) there was a cool map poster of the 4 Londons included in the box! I'm not usually one for posters but it's for one of my favorite series. ❧ By the time the 3rd book's collector editions release, I will have 6 sets of this trilogy 3 sets with the collector editions (the 2 US editions plus the UK ones), then the paperbacks, the original US hardcovers, and the UK paperbacks.
