If you would have told me 2 years ago that I would be a 2 time marathoner, and would run countless half marathons, I would have laughed at you. The difference between these photos is 6 years, and a whole lot has changed in that time. Both women look happy, but in reality, the woman on the left was struggling. The left is from my senior photo session in 2013. I was in the middle of treatment for anxiety, depression, and bulimia. I had to take breaks during the shoot because I kept having panic attacks. The smile on the woman on the left is completely forced, and I had just finished re-applying my makeup after crying. The woman on the right is now 23 and stronger than ever before. Her outside matches the inside and she is HAPPY. What did she do? She surrounded herself with the people that stuck by her side during her time on the left. She found new people that accept her for her. She stopped yo-yo dieting, and focused on seeing other women as her teammate, not her competitor. She made lifestyle changes that focused on herself, not others. If you are struggling, I’m there. If you have struggled, I’m there. When you do struggle (and we all will) I am there. Why do we feel guilty for doing nothing for any extended period of time? I used to be able to take naps during the day, but now I feel like lying down when the sun is still up is a waste of time. And so I force myself to stay up even though I probably know I won't get any more work done. But we shouldn't feel bad for needing down time. Never, ever in my life I thought that I could like in one place like this. Look I just walk 5 minutes and I can have this amazing environment ( and this is not the full view). The message of today is only the importance of your wishes and most important: your thoughts. I am sure that you have heard the phrase ‘ We attract what we think’ and this is fucking true. Honestly take time to improve and develop yourself, change yours standards but specially change the way you are thinking. No one says it’s easy, actually is really really hard, take ( lot of) time to see the results!!! Think high, think as bigger as you can, may can feel fake , may you will ask it not believing in it, but as soon as you think the destiny will deliver. And remember... There is a frequency of your thought who is sent to the universe and a positive thought is too much powerful that a negative thought. So... which is your choice?
