#surrender Once in a while I say something smart. Sometimes I have a good idea. Today is my last official day of Nursing School and I couldn’t be more excited. This has been such a long journey but I’m finally here. Being denied twice by my previous school and being told “maybe nursing isn’t for you”, I did not let that stop me. I knew exactly what I wanted to be and I was not going to let any one stop me from pursuing my dreams. I applied to one school, MUSC, and prayed God would make a way for me to get into the program and he did !! I am truly blessed to have had this opportunity and cannot wait to start my nursing career ! Yesterday was literally amazing! I finally got the opportunity to attend an I am Resilient Workshop with @iamnursemo & @theresilientnurse. It was so amazing to be in a room filled with black nurses who I aspire to be like one day, meeting people who have the same goals as me, and who are just doing the dang thing. Nurse Mo’s message was so inspiring as well as all of the lovely panelist.
