This trip was probably one of the most relax ones I’ve had. I felt very disconnected from my phone and even my camera. Usually Im trying to get the best photo from the best angle but I hardly took any photos. Possibly it could have been because I had no energy from being sick. I counted 25 photos from this trip which I thought I would have been glued to my camera and had over 100+. But I felt like I actually soaked in the experience. I’m sure we all have those “do it for the gram” moments. I’m guilty of it. Where we are constantly thinking about getting the best photos to share. Sometimes we’re stuck on wanting to show off our photos, that we forget the real reward which is the opportunity to live, push yourself physically and mentally and see the world for what it really is. This trip really was something I’ll remember forever. Living in the moment is always an experience of a life time and something I’ll remember for the rest of my life. Im glad I took a step back and enjoyed myself in the moment and not stuck in photos. With that being said this is end of my havasupai pictures, but not the end of my incredible memories of this place. If you have any questions about this place. So many people talk about the waterfalls at Havasupai. Which I mean why would you not. ‍♀️But there is SOO much more to see! I was super surprised by the drip stone caves! That no one ever talks about. Dripstone is calcium carbonate in the form of stalactites or stalagmites. Also saw some cave crystals which were amazing! If you decide to go do some research on stalactites and stalagmites you’ll be able to identify different shapes while your there. I was inspired by them and came home to research it. #makinleynerdmoment ‍♀️ Glad that’s over

Me and my boyfriend spent our birthdays exploring Havasupai. We hiked 12 miles to camp here w/ 20lbs of gear. We ate freeze dried food which wasn’t awful at all. We saw Havasu, Mooney falls, fifty foot falls and little Navajo falls were spectacular. I’ve waited to see these amazing falls for 4 years now. I was so excited when I finally scored a permit to backpack it. But of course life had different plans and I’ve been sick with Bronchitis for a few weeks now. I wasn’t able to see the last falls called Beaver falls and also hike back out of the canyon. Took the helicopter out and that was also amazing to see it wasn’t my original plan. But I was having trouble breathing and of course coughing like crazy. We did 20miles in 2 days. I’m so exhausted, my cough sounds awful, I’m congested and I have two awesome blisters on my foot. ( moleskin saved my life!) But would I change anything? Yes. I wish I wasn’t sick lol. That’s it. This place is fantastic. But some of the other campers are annoying foreals foreals

This was one of my FAVORITE things hiking into the canyon. I mean you can’t make this stuff up. This is beautifully unique!! It was things like this that I saw that really reminded me why I wanted to hike in! This was I would say about 6-7miles in and sometimes you have to stop and get a picture! ‍♀️ sorry for those with trypophobia
