this was the feeling we all had when we concluded our projects last weekend and made our a-frame available on airbnb. to everyone who has booked a stay or has sent kind words, you have overwhelmed us in the best way, right to the core.
〰️
we spent the week gathering final touches to cozy up some areas, because much to our surprise we had our first guests book their stay this very weekend. wow. woa. hey, woawow. and we may or may not have binge watched “instant hotel” and took in every last bit of feedback.
〰️
yesterday kind of felt like an episode of a reality tv show before our 3pm guests checked in; we had rock delivered last minute to fix the driveway that was decimated by all the rain we’ve had, did that final deep clean to every last piece in the cabin, printed our house manual & labels for label worthy containers, washed windows, trimmed branches, mowed, and placed everything in the perfect spot. i was the last to walk through the cabin, tears welled up in my eyes just thinking of how much love & energy went into that triangle abode. proud, most certainly. nervous, undoubtedly. and just plain excited. with the sweatiest hugs, we all parted ways for the weekend and have been spending our time elsewhere, away from the 5 acres we spent every weekend for the past 7 months at. it’s been an adjustment to plop right back in to ‘normal’, but some much needed rest is in order for this whole group. thank you from the bottoms of all our hearts. we are shocked and amazed at all the bookings we’ve had so far. we look forward to hosting you all at our special place.
7 months ago we stood in this very spot with a hefty load of projects ahead of us. we spent every spare second we could at the a-frame bringing it back to its 1978 glory. all the work was done by these 8 hands pictured (and our close family) with 40+ hours at our full time careers a week and just as much time logged here making this little place shareable.
〰️
we didn’t realize at the time how very special these 5 acres would become to us. it’s been a privilege to be able to spend a little resting time here in the past few weeks as we prepared passing it on for you all to enjoy too. thanks a million for all your gracious words of encouragement throughout the past few seasons and the past 24 hours. and for those who plan on making your visit, we are anxious for you to be able to stay here, observe nature and just simply rest.
〰️
the @airbnb listing is up and active and ready for bookings now through december! we had many requests for fall & winter availability, so we’ve opened up more dates for booking. we look forward to hosting you and your companions! website link can be found in our profile.

our goal with lilla norr was to keep the cabin more focused on design. we’ve always mentioned it was an extension of @arlee_park, mostly meaning that it would have a sustainability factor with clearly resembling the aesthetic of our vintage shop.
〰️
the majority of the furniture in the a-frame is vintage and most décor as well. the 1984 modular sectional was definitely a labor of love. though it’s still not perfect, with a few springs making funny noises, it received endless hours being cleaned both professionally and by ashley.
〰️
just like the couch, our other vintage pieces are charmingly worn, and we look beyond that. as a whole, they are standing for more than just looking pretty together. they’ve been given a new life while steering clear of the earth’s arch nemesis, the landfill.
