High levels of Cortisol are elevated as a by-product of chronic and sustained stress - High levels or Increased levels of cortisol can decrease the part of the brain associated with positive emotions. ☹️

Chronic and sustained stress has an affect on all physical structures in our body - not just our mood and emotions!

Rest and Recovery techniques are just as important (if not more!) as ‘doing’ - there has to be a balance in life - everything works in opposing forces and to be both physically and mentally fit requires a more intelligent and balanced approach to training and active recovery techniques and strategies.

@babykateli thanks so much for a wonderful first session today! Kate came to me because she has been having problems with her feet/claves from walking in heels & working! Today we did some FMR technique & used a band to stabilize & mobilize her feet, knees, hips/pelvis & posture. Our feet are the foundation to movement, I have been fortunate enough to be able to help cure the problems that people have in their feet, knees & hips through building a program specifically for them! My success has come from developing strategies to increase body awareness amongst everyone I work with! Great job today Kate I’m looking forward to our journey! Thanks almost @grayinstituteofficial for being who you are & giving me the tools to make me who I am today!
The cool part also about my body analysis is I can see where we need to work in her posture, balance, mobility & stability by looking at her spine & how it moves or shifts through exercise & movement! This way I can create a specific official program that fit Kate’s body, body-type & lifestyle!

There’s a lot more to fitness than body composition. The picture on the right was taken after just 20 minutes of walking. Now imagine what it would look like after 30 minutes to an hour of weight training and conditioning. Brain gains are important.
