This is a photo of @benyong_ in San Francisco a couple of weeks ago. Ben and @tylayong got terribly lost in the enormous city, and had to use a GPS to get their bearings. ⠀
⠀
A lot of our clients feel the same way about social media: lost, overwhelmed, and looking for a new direction. ⠀
⠀
Can anyone relate?! We don't blame you! We're kinda like the GPS to bring new direction, peace, and actual results. ⠀

Three of my favourite Instagram Stories tips (yasssss! ): ⠀
⠀
▪️Tip 1: Add invisible hashtags to your Instagram Stories by using the colour picker tool to blend the text colour in with your background. By making your hashtags blend in, they won’t clutter your content and will increase your chances of being seen ⠀
⠀⠀
▪️Tip 2: When uploading new Instagram Stories Highlight Covers you no longer need to share them to your Stories. To change them without annoying your followers, head to your profile and click to edit your highlights. Select ‘edit highlight’ at the top, and tap the ‘image icon’ to add an image from your camera roll. TADA! #AestheticGoals⠀
⠀
▪️Tip 3: Ever wondered how people create those Stories with a solid background a lil’ erased bit showcasing an image? It’s easy! Use the colour picker tool to select a colour from your image, then tap and hold for 2-3 seconds. This will turn your Story into one solid colour. Next, take the ‘eraser tool’ and rub out a little section. ✏️ You can squiggle, zig zag or polka dot til your heart is content, the world’s your oyster...

As our lives grow more and more intertwined with this 24/7 digital world, we tend to forget that as humans we physically just can’t operate 24/7. I get asked all the time “how many times should I be posting on my feed” and “how many stories a day should I be doing?” ♀️ My “Instagram marketing teacher” answer is: once a day to your feed and 1-5 times a day on your story. But my real life business owner answer is MUCH different.... Social Media needs to fit into your life, not takeover your life, or you’ll resent it. And if you already do resent it, this is probably the reason why. The past week I was out or teaching all day most days and not only did I not have time to post, I had NO time to engage and respond. So I only posted twice - in 7 days. I did a few stories some mornings, responded to as many messages as I could and that’s about it. I have a mountain of emails sitting in my Inbox (sorry if you’re one of them, I promise I’ll get back to you!) and DMs (again, sorry if you’re one of them, I promise I’ll get back to you!). The reality of Social Media is there is no right amount of time to be spending on the platforms each day. Every week is different and that’s OK! Don’t stress yourself out by trying to stick to strict rules and copy what your competitors are doing... do what works for you, because remember this: the more you post ➡️ the more you need to respond and engage ➡️ the most stressed you’ll become about not having enough time to do what you actually make or sell! Or vice versa. So here’s the truth: there’s no magical number of times to be posting and engaging that will be the difference between making a sale or not. But what WILL work is finding what works for YOU, and what YOU can maintain in this 24/7 digital world ✨
