Another one from Bryce. After hiking around within the hoodoos, we made our way back to the rim in hopes of an epic sunset - we sure got one. To see such a vibrant, pink shade of direct light hit Powell Point in the distance was incredible, and it certainly exceeded all expectation of what this sunset would bring. It’ll be hard to get conditions better than this next time I’m in Bryce, no doubt.
The goal is to die with memories not dreams.

I’m a college dropout. I went to community college for 6 years pursuing my fine art degree while I worked a full time job. When I got accepted into a prestigious art college in Laguna Beach, I decided not to go. Why? Because I didn’t believe I was good enough - even though I was accepted on my portfolio alone. I was scared I’d fail and scared to trade my secure 8-5 office job (that I hated) to be a struggling art student. I didn’t believe I had what it takes to make it in the art world.
⠀
This choice was the biggest (and only) regret of my life.
⠀
Everything happens as it should though because I did meet my husband at that office job and he by far is the best thing that has happened to me. Plus, I obviously wasn’t ready. I needed to believe in myself.
⠀
Most of my life I have spent in the shadows helping other people build their companies or careers. I’ve never really believed in myself because every chance I got, I’d help someone else rather than help myself. It was as if this was my default setting.
⠀
I think I’m finally ready though. Ready to not only believe but take action. This trip has given me clarity about what I want the rest of my life to be about. I’m not wasting anymore time believing in others more than myself.
⠀
You know how when you are on a plane and they tell you that you need to put your own oxygen mask on before you help anyone else? There is a reason for that. You can’t be of service to anyone if you don’t do what is necessary for your own survival.
⠀
I’m ready for my future. Are you? ⠀
