Do you have a signature scent or do you prefer a variety?
I don’t really have a big perfume collection but I’m on a mission to find ones I love. I’ve been a fan of My Burberry for a while now and I recently discovered Her from them. This one from @burberry is def. a summer 2019 favorite. I love how sweet it smells yet complex with notes of berries and florals.
Let me know what your favorite scents are! I’d love to pick a few to try.
As a makeup artist, I’ve always known how important it is to protect your workspace. On job sites, I use towels to protect surfaces but to also make it easier to find what I’m looking for. When I started my in home workspace years ago, I opted to use a marble pastry slab to protect my desk from wear and tear. That is why so often you’ll see many different sizes of marble on my wood desk to keep things organized, protected and tidy. #ohuprettythings
Recent favorites Part II: Makeup
.
Here is my March-April favorites recap for makeup. I posted one on favorite skincare on Tuesday if you missed it. .
• @nudestix Nudies Bronze in Sunkissed | I’m not the first person to rave about the new Nudestix shade Sunkissed, and I know I won’t be the last. It is one of the most perfect summer shades ever, somewhere in between a blush and a bronzer. The shade is a warm terra-cotta blush that gives the most perfect “back from vacation” complexion. It’s creamy but long lasting, and its fail proof to use like all of their cream face products.
• @nudestix Magnetic Nude Glimmer Highlighter in Bronzi Babe | I’m honestly surprised more people don’t talk about these. This is an all purpose illuminating product that’s great for highlighting your cheekbones and also acting as glowy eyeshadow base. It doesn’t stay tacky or wet and has great staying power. I fully intend on picking up the other 2 shades!
• @lilahbeauty Marvelous Matte Crème Foundation in b.pure | I did not expect to love this, and yet I can’t stop wearing this foundation. It says matte in the name, but it’s more natural and it’s definitely not drying. I’m obsessed with how easy the application is, and how natural my skin looks when I’m wearing this. I truly look and feel like I’m not wearing any makeup, yet you can build up coverage to about medium without looking cakey. I hope they expand the shade range because I think this would be suitable for so many.
• @milkmakeup Sunshine Skin Tint SPF 30 in Honey | I knew I’d love this immediately. It’s a tinted moisturizer with an oil base, and it promises dewy radiant skin with a quick rollerball applicator. It’s super easy to swipe on and offers the perfect amount of coverage for everyday. It’s like the Glossier Skin Tint if it had coverage, or the Kosas Tinted Face Oil if it was much dewier.
• @cledepeaubeauteus Radiant Corrector for Eyes in Ochre | I love using this when I don’t feel the need for a heavy concealer, but I do want slight under eye brightening to make me look more refreshed and awake.
• @kosascosmetics LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm (*gifted) | I use this lip balm almost everyday because it feels so hydrating.
#sponsored | It’s starting to get quite hot and dry here in Arizona and my skin feels a bit lacklustre. @frenchpharmacyfp is a new beauty site that carries effective, sustainable, and affordable French beauty products. They offer a wide range of brands like Bioderma, Caudalie, Nuxe France, and La Roche-Posay. Their Beauty Buddy program helps consumers take a quiz and gives an individualized recommendation based on their skin type. They recommended me a very hydrating and nourishing routine that I have been enjoying for past couple of weeks. So far, this routine has helped my skin deal with heat and dryness. I’ve been really impressed with every Beauty Buddy product.

A Few Favorites ✨
So I’ve recently been really loving the @beautyblender bounce foundation, primarily influenced by my absolute favorite @hindash! I usually struggle with finding shades that properly fit my neutral, but warm skin tone but the shade 3.25 N has been such a good match so far! I have been using it with their new opal essence primer, influenced by the most gorgeous human on the planet, miss @basmabhamze, and it is SO great for my dry skin! Another complexion favorite has been the @jouercosmetics concealer which has blown me away due to the high coverage yet comfortable feel.. @kathleenlights and so many others rave about it and with good reason! I like to use my complexion products interchangeably so that I can find a good mix of what I like depending on how much coverage I want that day. So far, I highly recommend these three pretty products and will update you all on how they do over time and with different primers, etc! ♥️
