Auntie Hailey getting her snuggles in this morning with baby Kane.
The entire family is so in love with him.
His first night home, momma and baby did well.
We worked on schedule and timing the night out and Bai crushed it. She is an amazing momma.
Every nurse and dr talked about how “chill” Kane is and what an amazing baby he is.
God knew...He just knew and I am forever grateful.
Day 4 of #julywitch
Do you ever feel drawn to an area? A place more familiar than others, a feeling deep inside your being. You get to this place and sigh with relief, your body feeling lighter. You feel at home. I’ve experienced this a few times - once with this forest in the photograph. I woke up one morning and thought “today I must visit this place.” I didn’t know where I was going, I just let my body lead me there. I entered this tree opening, and found the most beautiful section of forest. I wandered around and quickly became accustomed to its beauty - a hidden meadow - flowing river - wild berries - bears - and other wildlife flourishing. It has become my place of solace. A place of endless possibility, comfort, acceptance, and belonging. I now know this land by heart. I know where the bears live, and where they forage their favourite berries. I know the most common stones and crystals in the river bed. I know where the deer drop their antlers, and what plants grow where. I know the areas touched by death, and I know the areas that offer life. Knowing this place, helps me know myself. I am forever thankful for this calling.
