Today has been a bloody good day - I watched The Avengers this morning and pulled 180kg/396lbs x 5 this afternoon.

Not gonna lie, I was shaking before doing this but recently I’ve been telling people that’s one of the awesome things about Powerlifting - you learn to be scared but act anyway. There will always be things you’re afraid of but that doesn’t mean you don’t do them.

Thanks for the message of support today’s guys & of course thanks to my support crew: Papa, despite putting my water back in the van when I returned from the bike
Which led to me being rescued by the marshals with electrolytes 1km into the final run haha. After nearly dying of cramp I thought it’d be very apt to get my pic in front of the ambulance
Despite spending 5 minutes writhing in pain I finished in 2:30:56 which I’m really pleased with as I wanted to just do it in less than 3 hours
Takeaways;
1. There’s no substitute for adequate training (ie transitioning from bike to run)
2. Even though your muscle fibres are telling you to quit when you cross the line your emotions will just ask you when the next one is ======================================
