God calls us to enter. To remain close to Him, through joy and through difficulties. He beckons us into intimacy in the good times and the bad. He yearns for us to be with him in sickness and in health. Jesus whispers to us, “Let me be with you.” And as we go through our day His words penetrate our hearts. “I am yours and you are Mine.” Life sometimes calls us to the difficulty of the cross. When we have the courage to embrace it bravely, freedom comes as well. For where the Holy Spirit is, where the Lord is, there is freedom also. May your day be filled to the brim with the freedom the Lord desires for you. May He unleash you from bondage and hold you close to Himself. May He astound you by His closeness to you and flood your heart with peace. He is with you.
Regardless of your calling in this world, you must center your life on Christ. Many ask what makes a Christ centered life, which results in the following questions a man must ask himself:
Do I make time to pray in the morning, noon, and evening times? Do I do it out of the sake of doing so or because I want to have a daily Conversation with the Lord?
Do I see living a devout Catholic life as a major non-negotiable? Will my values be compromised or will I stand firm no matter the difficulty and temptation?
Asides from Faith, do I also have my own values that align with my Faith that will help me grow continuously as a man?
For the single man, do I have a mindset for praying, frequent the Sacraments, constantly self-improving through learning new skills everyday? Do I have that confidence that if marriage comes down the road, I have the confidence to lead my future wife to Heaven?
For the married man, do I continue with what I have previously done only now with my wife? Do I have the confidence to compliment her by helping her on the journey to Heaven through a Christ centered frame?
For the fathers of children, do I lead my children by example? Do I have the confidence that I will pass my Christ centered frame and values down to my sons and daughters?
For the Clergy, am I competent in showing that as a religious brother or Priest, that I can lead my flock to Heaven? Do I humble myself and trust in Our Lady for her intercession in times of Crisis?
These are one of many questions a man has to ask himself to ensure that he focuses on God.
To have a God centered life, is to be on the path to salvation for all as a man.

I didn’t grow up Catholic. I didn’t come into the Church with hoards of Catholic friends and family cheering me on. Which is okay!! I love my friends and family to death and I wouldn’t be who I am today, Catholic or not, without them (love y’all )! But at the same time, there are just certain aspects of conversation that will always be ‘taboo’ or slightly ‘too Catholic’ to be able to relate.
Talk about social justice? ‘Sure!’
Talk about Jesus? ‘I can follow.’
Talk about Mary? ‘Wait... whoa...’
The priesthood? ‘Um, have you seen the news?’
Or maybe the pope? ‘Hold up...okay...go back to the Jesus part please or maybe to the ‘feeding the hungry’ part.’
.
I absolutely love when I can find the common ground. It’s so stinking important but, it’s also okay to say that there are areas that we differ from the rest of the world. If they don’t differ in their understanding at all? Well... then tell them all to sign up for RCIA because that means they are Catholic . I used to struggle so hard to find every area I could relate. I minimized the differences so that being Catholic didn’t seem so radical. I would point out every similarity and downplay every difference. I wanted to make the point that Catholicism is just misunderstood (which YES it ABSOLUTELY is) but, it’s also okay to say that yeah, being Catholic does make some ‘radical’ claims.
Now, at the same time, ostracizing every non-Catholic is INCORRECT. It IS important to find our similarities, our common ground. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it a thousand times - Christ died for every person in existence. He died for that person you hate. That politician you despise. For that anti-Catholic with the mega phone that tells you you are going to hell. He loves them as much as He loves you. So yes, ostracizing is INCORRECT but we also have to be okay at recognizing where we differ. To be okay with standing out when needed. I think that some of those more ‘radical’ claims actually hold the keys to course correcting the ship of culture back to a society ordered in the way we were created.
I think it’s possible to do both.
Relate wherever possible, stand out when necessary.
the holy Rosary is a powerful weapon. use it with confidence and you’ll be amazed at the results // Saint Josemaría Escrivá
quite often, the saints refer to the Rosary as a powerful weapon. now obviously that’s not in the sense of using it as a weapon to hurt someone or to bring harm, but a weapon as to defend us against all types of evil!
along with that, Saint Josemaría makes another great point. when we use this weapon, when we intercede to Mary through the Rosary, we should do so with confidence. confidence in knowing that Mary will hear us. confidence in knowing that she will pray for us to Christ her Son, our Lord. she desires to bring us closer to Him and she will not turn deaf to our cries, for she did not give us the Rosary to then abandon us in our time of need! as Our Lady said to Saint Dominic, “I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the Rosary”.
so when we pray the Rosary, let us pray it with complete faith and trust that our prayers will be heard and answered.

I know that @liliesandloaves_ is geared more towards children, but when I saw this plush Mama Mary on their page I just had to have her. I can now physically snuggle my Heavenly Mother to bed every night Call me a child I don’t care, I love her so much! And I love that I’ll be able to pass her on to my very own angel baby when that day comes ✨ .
