Day 52 Saved by the sea We woke up this morning to the tide in all arpund the lighthouse. This has given us some much needed respite. To my knowledge the infected can't swim and the sea should give us cover long enough for the horde to lose interest in us and move on. I will keep all fingers and toes crossed as I watch for the tide to draw out The kids seem to be enjoying being here for now which is great. But I know we will have to move on as soon as the tides out. Day 51 Day 51 I awoke early damp with sweat. My heart was already pounding and all the hairs on  my body weresticking out. Something was wrong. Then in the distance maybe a couple of hundred meters I could hear the groaning  and grunting of infected. I got the kids ready and we exited our hideout stealthy. It sounded like there was a lot of them coming from different directions. Like someone had rang the dinner bell.! We spent hours drawing carefully away building by building, cover to cover. We made very slow progress following the coast. I was proud of the kids discipline and courage and it was paying off. The horde gathering behind us were not really focused on us, something else was gaining their attention. But all of a sudden. I thought we were done for we got toward the cemetery however 20 plus broke of from the horde were quickly heading away. Our pursuers must of been the freshly infected. They were  much quicker and more alert. I drew them into the cemetery crematorium and ran through the building quickly piling rubbish at the door that I had shut behind me and then sprinting back to the front door to do the same. However Daisy had already shut the door and the boy was desperately trying to push an industrial bin towards the door. I took over and finished the job. We  ran out the cemetery and down towards the lighthouse. The lighthouse was empty. Although someone had been here recently. They had left a care package and Instructions to continue on the coast. The surrounding buildings were long boarded up. Day 50 We stayed around the are of Spanish city for awhile just to be careful then at dinner time we broadened our ‘shoppinģ a little further. I remembered an old cafe that I wanted to check out. I dropped to my knees in shock and had what I guess was an anxiety attack. My chest became tight and my breathing painful. I had just been hit with a flourish of memories. I had been here many times with my wife and daughter. It was like I was seeing both the ruins and my memories at the same time. It hurt me in many different ways and I was drained after. Daisy was worried but I couldn't explain it. I still can't remember who I am. Day 48 After I had dealt with the kidnappers I decided to hold up in a building near spanish city. I could see it from the window. I had a decent enough vantage from here but our position wasn't obvious. I was hoping to set out first thing along the ruins and avoid the roads. At first light however I heard trucks pull up. I crept to my window to see a man being dragged by soldiers. He was screaming saying it wasn't his fault. They broke his arms and ran him through with a machete. They left him there squealing with his guts out. "That was him! The guy they left with us" Daisy said to me I was startled I didn't know she was awake. The boy 'Mike was awake too. Hard not to be with all this noise I suppose. The soldiers packed up and drove off without any further drama. "What now? Day 47 When I first approached Spanish city there was no sign of anyone. I stalked the perimeter and began to see signs that people were hold up here. Then all of a sudden I heard two voices talking. "At least the boys quiet. All that little bitch keeps going on about is how much this Sully is going to kill us! Said one "She bit Jake badly, he gonna have to really keep an eye on it. Said the other. "Doesn't matter now anyway after today Solomon's men will have them both and they will be wishing they were back with us!! They both laughed. I had been slowly approaching and could now see them sat in a small restaurant that had mostly been covered in rubble. They didn't have any guns both just had long knives. I threw a large rock across the open door way . They heard the noise and one came out cautiously I buried the axe in his head. I heard the other shout "Shit!! I instantly sprang from cover and fired six shots at the other I think two shots hit the target. I am really shit with guns. As soon as the last shot rang I heard Daisy call out "Sully! . I shouted down to her "how many Daisy? " four all together! One is with us! She said I heard an angry hushed voice say "shut the fuck up! I turned realising there was one left. Just in time to see a man approaching behind me with a shotgun. I had seen him in a broken mirror. I could see him approaching the doorway and I got behind cover. I put the hammer in his head as soon as he was in the doorway. I shouted down again. "I have killed all your pals! Cut the kids free and leave now and you can live! Do something silly and I will make sure u regret it! I heard shuffling and running and then Daisy and Mike came up from the cellar. We carefully searched the area and left. We had to get somewhere safe. Day 46 I caught up with the little prick. He tried to attack me with my own axe he must of cicrled back and stole it. I gave him a good beating. At first the silly bastard tried to lie to me saying that they had gone back to a base at the aquarium (not knowing I had searched all that area)I split his hand in two, held the axe over his knee and raised to deliver a savage blow.he screamed out “spanish city!! He said his group works from there. They were told to come and collect the kids by the Quad group. Apparently they had seen us on the beach and knew we would be nearby. The group of them would be waiting for the Quads to pick up the kids in the next couple of days. The man pleaded for me to spare him but i was never going to let kidnappers like him roam the earth I made plans to set out and put my axe into the man's stomach. Day 45 I can't believe these prick got the drop on me. The pussy holding the gun was shaking already doubting himself. He knew the moment I saw a chance I would rip his head off.  the other three took the boy and the girl away out of sight behind the building and i heard a truck start up. Daisy must of got free because suddenly I heard “get her! The I heard some shots fired. “ don't shoot u idiot! They want kids alive u stupid fuck! one of them said. I heard Daisy shout “Sully! The prick with his pistol was distracted and I used that chance to punch him straight in the throat. It was a great punch. It felt like I had gone through his neck. I immediately got the gun off him and shot him in his head as he clutched at his throat gasping. I knew I didn't have much time I had to get to them. I sprinted round the corner. They saw me and fired I just managed to get behind cover. I saw that they had managed to get the Daisy back and were hurriedly getting her on the truck. Whilst speeding off. I was too late!! The tough little girl had managed to give one of them a two footed kick and he topped off the back of the truck. They didn't stop for him they just carried on. I ran past him at first for some reason running stupidly after the truck. When they were gone I turned my attention on him to see him running off in the opposite direction. I couldn't catch up with him.
