You may remember that we created an ‘easycare paddock’ last year for oldies Dylan and Gladys who both have mobility issues that are unlikely to improve. Well, they’re currently sharing their gentler life and new stable with Elijah (poorly foot, suspected arthritis) and his brother Ernie (suspected arthritis) who don’t seem to want to leave now that they’ve discovered the extra carrots and Weetabix in their rations Elijah and Ernie are two of three Gotland/TeeswaterX triplets we have here - their brother Entwhistle is still out with the main boy flock, not yet suffering with the stiff gait of his siblings despite being the most rotund of the trio! Elijah is still by far the biggest, and Ernie’s recent loss of muscle tone to the shoulder makes him look less substantial than his earlier days with us when he was the big and pushy one.
