I don't typically do spreads, but do enjoy the House of Triumphs as portrayed in Caitlin Matthew's Untold Tarot. For some reason, this year I've been called down to the principal's office more times than my students...I get in trouble for my kids, instead of, you know, my kids getting in trouble?...kids have thrown me under a bus, twice...I won't bore you with the details/it will only frustrate me. As a pessimist, I'm slowly learning to focus on the good, however little it may be or feel. Boy, I pray there's some kind of Divine lesson in this haha. Just used up the last of our #homegrown onions from this summer... Weren’t they gorgeous though? - I’m already dreaming about next summer’s #garden - particularly about #heirloom tomatoes. - And my asparagus #harvest, which will be the first time I can pick as much as I like since they were planted from seed three years ago. And my rhubarb will come back! And my tulips! And perhaps I’ll even pick the first-ever peach harvest from the boughs of my peach tree, which I planted as a baby tree only three years ago... - Gardening seems to be mostly about waiting and discipline. Watching the seasons change, planting and watering on schedule, weeding, harvesting, processing, the world freezing...then repeat. - Coincidentally, writing is the same: you sit down with the pencil/computer and stare down the blank page, then get to work. Then edit, and edit again. And send it away to be evaluated by editors and agents and publishers, and you get to waiting. Then write some more, edit some more, and repeat. - What I have learned S L O W L Y - cause nothing slow comes easily to us overachiever types - is that slow is how the heart changes. It’s where your character grows.
