I’m still in a Hay Daze after spending three days in Hay-on-Wye for the #BookstagramHay meet up. I caught up with and met so many wonderful bookstagrammers that book shopping actually took second place to chatting, eating, and supporting writer friends reading their work. Shock, horror, I know! I did manage to purchase a few books though which I’ll share soon. After recently doing an Agatha Christie spine poem I saw that @my.literary.world had created #spellyournamewithagatha which looked so much fun so I gave it a go! I stuck with Steph as I don’t think there’s a title beginning with ‘i’ to make Stephanie (unless I used the ‘Investigates’ from Poirot Investigates or ‘Innocence’ from Ordeal by Innocence). . I’ve seen some great #spinepoem posts from @pigeonpostbooks and @finepreserversbooks recently and since yesterday was World Poetry Day, I challenged myself to use just Agatha Christie titles to create a little poem. I think I was inspired by After the Funeral where most of the action happens after a funeral. I’m not sure if it makes sense but it was fun to do anyway! Here it is: . Appointment with death, The hollow, endless night Towards zero. After the funeral, A murder is announced, Sparkling cyanide, dead man’s folly. Death comes as the end, Destination unknown. Have you read anything this Easter weekend? I haven’t yet but I might sit down later and read The Mirror Crack’d From Side to Side, the @maidensofmurder book of the month. Agatha Christie books are perfect to read over a long lazy weekend (which isn’t happening here with a crazy six year old ) and Problem at Pollensa Bay is a good collection of short stories that evoke sunny Spring and early Summer vibes. . The Easter Bunny very kindly brought my mum and I these gorgeous pink and purple Easter eggs and I couldn’t resist trying to colour match them with some Christie books.
