It's about a 3 and half hour drive each way to #corcoranstateprison for this next round of @marleysmutts_pawsitivechange . That puts us on the road for about 6-7 hours for a 2 hour training session with the inmates. I'm still pretty new to the program so I can't quite put it into words but I will tell you this...it's ABSOLUTELY worth the drive. We will be sharing pics from today next week when they give me my memory card back. Lol Can't wait for next Wednesday! #ipittythebull #marleysmutts_pawsitivechange

One of our @pawsitivechangeprogram guys has transferred out of #corcoranstateprison and into a level 3 which means he will be released soon. He wrote me a letter which I have already read and maybe cried a little. I’m thinking of doing a spoken word video to share it with all of you but of course I will need his blessing so that will definitely be one of the questions I ask him when I write him back. Being part of this program has been and is one of the greatest experiences of my life. This last round of @pawsitivechangeprogram at #corcoranstateprison went by way too fast. When the time comes that we do come back many of these guys will have gotten out or transferred out. I miss these guys. #ipittythebull #pawsitivechange #marleysmutts

For the fist two weeks of @marleysmutts_pawsitivechange program the inmates at #corcoranstateprison have been working with each trainer's personal dogs or "demo dogs" to help them get ready for "their dogs" that they will be training. To think at some point each one of these dogs were unwanted at some point in their life and now they play such a huge role not only helping other dogs but other people as well! These pups teach the inmates just as much as we do! Next week, the shelter dogs will be making their way to the prison and now that the inmates have gotten their feet wet they're ready to dive in!
