C H A R L E S T O W N • Cornwall ~ Located about a mile outside the town of St Austell is Charlestown, previously West Polmear, an amazingly pristine, unspoiled example of a late Georgian working port. A ' T U I N I damn near didn't post a photo this evening because I found it legitimately stressful trying to pick one. Not sure if this is fledgling pride in what I'm doing but still. Anyway. At this moment in time I'm like 27 followers away from the mythical 10k, but in the past 24 hours I would've got there anyway if half of Instagram wasn't A) Trying to get me to buy new followers. B) Trying to tickle their own ego. C) Deliberately trying to mess with my fragile little mind. Or D) Secretly lizard people determined to addict us to social media and pointless virtual goals. I'm not messing around here, it's the lizard people's fault that I got dangerously addicted to Pokémon Go last year. I swear. Not the fact that I have very poor impulse control and I really need the satisfaction of completing the Pokédex. I mean, to be fair I gave up, removed my bank details and deleted the app because it was becoming a serious distraction and then when Pokémon Let's Go came out on the Switch I got that and then did an insane amount of work to complete the Pokédex on there. I've forgotten what I was going on about. Something about lizard people right? Bugger them. I actually ran into an Adder shortly before I took this photo, maybe the Adder was an above ground agent for the lizard people! I knew I was right! They're on to me now.
