There is evidence of a wide variety of paraphysics phenomena that have been demonstrated and investigated under controlled conditions in the USSR. These investigations have been conducted by credible researchers, and it is likely additional classified work of a multi-disciplinary nature that has been underway since 1969. (C.I.A, Paraphysics) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ AMP (Anomalous Mental Phenomena) research programs in the Soviet Union have primarily focused on experimental studies in "distant influence" on animate and inanimate systems, i.e., psychokinesis (PK) and bio-PK. There have been numerous attempts at PK experimentation with such purportedly gifted individuals as Nina Kulagina, extensive studies of mental influence on various physical systems, plant growth and plant biopotentials, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements of plant seeds before and after ostensible bio-PK influence. Following this trend as observed in available Russian literature, we focus our paper on the analysis of PK and bio-PK studies. Among Trofimov and Kaznacheev’s conclusions are: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1) our planet’s electromagnetic field is actually the “veil” which filters time and place down to our everyday Newtonian reality — enabling us to have the human experience of linear time, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2) in the absence of an electromagnetic field, we have access to an energy field of “instantaneous locality” that underlies our reality, ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3) that the limiting effect of the electromagnetic field on an individual is moderated by the amount of solar electromagnetic activity occurring while that person was in utero, and ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4) that once a person has accessed these states, his or her consciousness remains so enhanced. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The implication is that the global electromagnetic soup of cell phones, radio, television and electric appliances actually impedes our innate communication abilities. The further implication is that expanded human consciousness is mechanically producible now, which raises the vast ethical question of how these apparati can be most beneficially used.

There will be a lot of catching up to do and it will be difficult because of reputations and funding issues; ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Academic scientists should share this knowledge with their students and the public, for it is the next generation of students and graduate students that will help make the breakthroughs in research to explain what has been observed for several generations; It is critical that scientists help make the study of UFO/ET issues a supported and encouraged area of scientific investigation for these future graduate students and young professional scientists; ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Scientist/managers who run our federally funded academic research programs should set aside a small percentage of their budgets for “outside-the-box” research into the UFO/ET arena, helping to make it a legitimate area of research. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Finally, scientists should realize that advances in science and technology that could come from an understanding of the UFO/ET phenomenon will have far ranging effects on the future of the people and the environment of our planet.
