These were made during our recent 4 week taster course which introduces students to some basic (very useful) jewellery making techniques. By the end of the 4 sessions you work with aluminium, brass, copper and silver to explore a range of techniques that are used to make earrings, pendants and rings. Along with our silver jewellery day and our ring in a day, this course is a great introduction to jewellery making which leads many people to continue either at home or on our longer courses. We love meeting new and returning students who are so enthusiastic and creative. These beautiful silver leaves have been created by one of our lovely students who dries her own leaves . The dried leaves have then been embossed onto the silver using the rolling mill, then the shape has been carefully saw pierced out.
