today is the first day of the @makersandtools residency at @newbreweryarts! while i’m very sadly having to sit this one out as i’m still not 100% after my surgery, i’ll be joining my fellow makers next month for our group show at @artsattheofs in Oxford. We’ll be exhibiting both the tools we have made and shared with each other, and works made in response to them. Hello! I’m taking part in a cool project that launched today which I would love to brag about. It’s called Makers and Tools and I’ll leave it up to you to work out if I’m one of the makers or one of the tools. “Makers & Tools is a collaborative making project exploring the relationship between craft makers and their tools. The project connects six contemporary craft makers in the early stages of their careers, who are undertaking a non-verbal conversation through an exchange of objects. Each maker was asked to create a new kind of tool, which was sent on to one of the other makers.
