Hudson, age 4, loves baseball. He was born with a very small left hand. I came up with this solution and wanted to share so that others can learn to modify a glove in a similar way and help others enjoy this game that we all love. We bought a new youth glove that was stiff enough to always remain open. The idea was that he doesn't have the finger length to close a glove so it would be better to have a glove that was always open and use a two-handed catching method to trap the ball in the glove. I purchased an All-Star Catchers Wrist Guard (small), cut it along the yellow dotted line, and sewed it back together to be narrow enough for his small wrist. I punched an extra hole at the shown arrow on the back of the glove so that I could lace the heel to have a tighter fit on his hand. His father wrote, "The glove works great, it is staying on his hand, and he loves it!"
