GOD SAVE THE QUEEN Oi m8, you got a license to look at this post? After a long time I finally have my British Soldier 95 DPM uniform at a presentable place! This kit isn’t based on anything specific, just the standard British Army loadout of the 2000s. This uniform was worn by British soldiers in Sierra Lione, Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. My particular jacket is patched 12th Armoured Infantry Brigade. My kit includes: -MkVI Ballistic Nylon Helmet dated 1986 with DPM cover and rubber band -Combat Body Armor Flak Vest -PLCE webbing with 7 pouches, 2007 dated (faded from use in Iraq, note the added paracord) -Soldier 95 Disruptive Pattern Material uniform -Jungle boots (placeholders for actual British boots) -M4 (AR platform Canadian rifles are used by British forces, but mainly SAS, this is just a placeholder for an L85, at least it’s a NATO Gun ) I’m still looking to add a few things, such as a smock, Bergen, and gaiters. Green Berets In the early 1960s, before the deployment of ground troops, the only US military members in-country in Vietnam were men of the Special Forces, or Green Berets, acting as advisors to the South Vietnamese Army. Pictured first are ARVN soldiers giving villagers aid while Americans watch on, 1964. Two South Vietnamese wear indegenious Tiger Stripe uniforms while the rest wear an American commerical duck hunter pattern, as well as caps with said camo. The second picture shows a Green Beret with ARVN soldiers at a firebase in 1962. Pizza Time Italian paratroopers and other units in the Cold War were issued a variation of the 1929 Mimetico camouflage used by Axis forces in WW2, made in 1950. The colors are much brighter, with yellow and pink hues. The first 6 pictures show Italian soldiers as part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon in the early 1980s. Of particular note are the paratroopers of 9° Col Moschin in the 2nd picture and the soldier in the 6th picture who are wearing TIG body armor, which has its own camouflage pattern. Also of note is the M-16 in the 8th picture.
