Challenge: Groove, Isolation, Flow
Like protons, neutrons & electrons, groove, isolation & flow are the core movement of hip hop freestyle to me. They are the pillars of every step, shape and move and are like the universal forms of movement.
Understanding this trinity (as @giovanidimension calls it haha) gives me so much freedom and vocabulary to express myself.

Challenge: Transitions
If dance is like a language, transitions are like an aspect of grammar.
Eventhough it is not that flashy, the skill to be able to connect steps/movement together is extremely valuable.
Because just like in language, it is not the words that make your message clear. It's how you say it
When I work on transitions I am focussed on 3 ways:
1. Transitioning of one step into another. 2. Evolving one step by adding movement on to it or taking movement out of it.
3. Using a specific rhythm or feeling to influence the next movements.

Challenge: Water Fire Wind Earth
So.. Honestly I am not posting my best run this time. Instead I'm posting me being at the end of my tiredness. So please don't mind the funny faces lol.
To me dance is not all fun and games. Some use it as a way to let go problems, feel good and take a moment to forget everything around them. Which is beautiful, dance is a output! For me personally I want the good and the bad, the easy and the difficult, the brain and the heart☯️
So I sometimes push myself over comfortable boundaries in order to truly find and hopefully break my own limits.
So though the challenge is the elements.. My challenge ended up being daring to push through my tiredness.
⭐️Coming soon to a Living Room near you ⭐️ I’m ready. Are you ready?

#30daysofdance2019 Day 20
Challenge: Flow
I approach flow in two ways during my practices.
1. Flow of Movement
Moving fluidly from one point to another. From A to B. Not to be confused with transitions. Transitions is the changing from one move, step or movement type to another. But with the specific technique I am taking about is just about moving fluidly in space, this can be with 1 movement type thus not always a transition.
2. Movement of Flow
The fluid connection of the body parts through waves, rotations, spirals and chain reactions. So this is more about the inner movement as suppose to the travel from a to b.
Mixing these two together creates one of my approaches to flow.
